Howto create VHDs with greater size than 128GB?

Hey,

as described in this article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc708315%28WS.10%29.aspx

it is possible to have vhds with more than 128GB unless you want to use it connected to an ide controller.

But the vhd is not limited to this size. How can I create VHDs with more than 128GB than?

Currently not supported?

Hi,

There's a bug in current released versions of DiscUtils (0.6) that means you can't create very large VHD files.  This is fixed in the unreleased source code already, if you want to download and compile the latest source.

If you have any problems with large disks using the latest source code, or in versions after 0.6, please post stack traces and details of how big the disks are.

Thanks!

Ken

Thx for your reply. Nice to hear that it is already done in the source, cause I already use the source because there you are able to format NTFS ;).
Will try to create bigger discs than.
